Nope - it's NOT - My Blazer is 10 times safer than one of those newer
SUV's - read stats - the new SUV's aren't safe. They have a high rate of
roll over as well as vehicle fatalities.

My truck has no DVD/TV (GARBAGE in my eyes - who the heck needs a tv in
their car?) CD Player - nuttin' LOL

My reference was to the lady who snidely asked me if my aspirations included
'another' SUV.

The new SUV's are manufactured because Society feels as though they need to
drive a 'big truck' to feel powerful (as well as many other reasons) The
reason my truck was built was to get me home thru the snow and put lots of
stuff in the back LOL! Yes - these are also reasons that SUV's are produced
today, but certainly NOT the main one! There was a piece on either 60
Minutes or Dateline (one of those news shows) debating the new SUV's and
their effects on the environment as well.

New SUV's are about image and power pretty much. LOL! My vehicle gets me
from Point A to Point B ~ with my daughter safely stored inside. I feel a
heck of a lot safer with all that metal around me than in a new Ford
Explorer!

Oh - and I only have a 2.6L engine too - the new SUV's are much faster and
powerful than mine

My truck is almost 16 years old - it's made of metal not plastic - I live

in
Nova Scotia - my truck was produced before they were EVER considered

SUV's

Oh, Sarah... I wasn't gonna, but... okay.. so a Blazer WAS considered an
all-terrain vehicle... what do ya think the current SUV's are? Plastic,

metal..
that part doesn't matter.. they are still what the current media is

selling as
an all terrain vehicle. The old Blazers, Broncos Cherokees and whatever

other
models you can remember were manufactured for the same basic reason as the

new
ones. Your Blazer (and my Dodge pickup, for that matter) were made back

when
all vehicles were heavier. Just because it's a larger, heavier machine,

doesn't
mean it's not the 80's equivalent to the current SUV's.

Everybody has a right to humor
but I just hate to see it at others expense such as the vagina remark

Have you noticed that Sharon is the only one bringing this up?

If it is so hurtful to her why doesn't she just let it go?

How many other authors do we have in here, asking for input and title ideas

Sharon, admit it, you meant MM, try to be honest, the truth will set you

free.

Caryn

Yes I did mean MM and I still didn't say anything mean, hateful or cruel
about her. If you can show me something mean and hateful I will personally
apologize to her. I just said that she is asking the same questions and
dangling the same hot dog. You read her books because you like them and
she has discussed them on this newsgroup. Some bought MLI's designs for
the same reason when she was here. MM is probably a very lovely lady and I
have no problem with MM just the double standards that some seem to have on
this newsgroup. Thank you
Sharon

What you did, was bring her into a discussion she had not taken part in. You
basically said her posts to this group were unwanted and unethical.

I di not say they were unwanted or unethical. I said they had the same hot
dog as you so claim MLI dangles. Every time someone posts that they have a
new design up on a web site it is dangling a hot dog and enticing people
over to their site in order to buy. I find it sharing information. Your
signature line makes me want to go see your designs. If I like what I see,
I will buy, another hot dog. What I disagree with is that one should not
be screamed at for what another does. My only wrong is that I didn't say
that others dangle that same hot dog every day. I enjoy being a part of a
design or book and watching it grow. I used to read every day when I
worked in the library. Sometimes I read a book a day and loved reading.
Now it seems since I found cross stitching, I have no time to read. When I
no longer have day care in my home and can retire, I sure will get back to
reading. If I still read a lot I know for a fact that I would love her
books. There has always been a difference of opinion over what is
advertising and what is information. I decide what I want to buy because
of people or designers leading me to their designs. Nothing wrong in that.
If some one tells me about a good book, I also would listen and buy.
There was nothing disrespectful to MM and I am sure sorry if she felt that
way. Thank you
Sharon

I don't think the woman KNOWS what she's done!

And, notice, I didn't even bring up the most famous of her lawsuits, not
once. ::snort::

She sued Walmart as well. The image of her angel (which I don't know) was

on
one of their Christmas Displays. She said she got a boatload from that

one, but
also donated it to charity. I don't believe that for one second.

And *I* know who told her about Walmart's display.

What motivated me to start this whole insanity....and really I NEVER EVER

was very funny.

And make us all miss out on a good session of stress-relieving battering.
Never... LOL

Doctors do say that stress-relieving activities are good for you.

Hmm, does that mean that the Angel of Healing is actually doing her job
then?? LOL

Such are the mysteries of life...

Ouch that hurt my ears. Netiquette, sunflower, netiquette...

Still you said in YOUR sentence "trailer park garbage". Anyone can look
through the messages and confirm that!!!

Oh and I have known for about 30 years WHAT a trailer park is, thank you. My
best school friend lived in one until she emigrated to Israel.

I'm really curious. Is there something wrong with a vagina ? Is
there a reason why one would not mention it anymore than one might
mention ones arm, or leg ?

In fact, because of the two things one connects with a vagina,
penetration and delivery of a baby, I would have thought that a vagina
might quite regularly come up as conversation between women.

Just a thought - between women.

Sheena

No Sheena, there is nothing wrong with the vagina. Maybe there are just
people that don't feel like their sexual beliefs and sexual parts should be
discussed in such a fashion on a stitching newsgroups. There are lots of
newsgroups that discuss sex and female organs and male organs. I thought
this one was about stitching. I am far from being a prude but this is how
I feel. Thanks
