Default Peltex vs. Timtex?

I went to TSWLTH yesterday to take advantage of the 10% off coupon (good on
the entire purchase) as well as some one-day specials.

I bought a yard of Peltex, the heavy-duty interfacing that is the Pellon
equivalent of Timtx. Is it the same? Is it markedly inferior or superior?
The regular price is $5.99/yd.

Nann
who got some good $1/yd bargains from the closeout section -- interesting
that two of them were $3/yd in the closeout section at another Joann's where
I stopped this afternoon (to spend the 40% off coupon....on a Pigma pen)

Which one does your friend think is better? Timtex or Peltex?

I'm sorry. She likes the Peltex better.

I tried to google Peltex and came up only with foreign language things that
didn't look at all appropriate. Is this the correct name? I didn't find it
on the Pellon site, either.

Heidi,
You're right -- the Pellon site talks about lots of other things, but no
mention of "Peltex." However, that was the name on the end of the bolt.

When I was at Joann today, the cutter had a swatch in her pocket. She'd
gotten the stuff at Hancock Fabrics. They're not carrying it at that Joann,
at least not yet.

I just came home from Super Wal-Mart and I noticed Peltex over by the
interfacing...I think it was around 4.50 a yard.
