Anyone else here find the combination of dark green, scarlet and gold
utterly revolting? Every fabric shop is themed that way at the moment.

Roll on saltire blue for Burns Night, pink for Valentines, or when's
Beige Week? ANYTHING but this!

I personally prefer winter colours for my Christmas decorations: all shades
of blue and white and silver. my kids disagree so my Christmas tree is
slowly getting more colourful as they make new stuff for it at school

Christmas? Is it Christmas??? My husband is currently painting the
living room so it looks like our Yuletide colors will be eggshell,
cider toddy and nutmeg.

Oh dear, I like red and green with a touch of gold. Like white with a
bit of gold in too. Makes me feel warm and Christmassy.

When Spring starts all the other colours will come out again - in fact
they are already queuing up, and the Red/green/white and gold will be
packed away until next year.

Have a nice purpley/mauvey wall hanging planned for the New Year, with
embellishments, a turquoise log cabin(?), a cats with Red Hats started
and a mariner's compass calling to me. And I will finish my pale green
and cream King Size - honest I will!

Did you get any Puffins?

Never fear, Jack, it will all be gone in a week. I prefer medium
green, bright red, blue, pale yellow, and white for Christmas.

Somehow I haven't noticed. My mom used to use pink and blue for
Christmas. As a kid, I had my own little white artificial tree with
blue lights.

Lately I've bought a lot of winter fabric, snowmen etc, with blue.
Love the dark blue with white oval spots for snow. Bought a lot of
Debbie Mumm Santa fabrics for a fabric swap. Those dark country colors
were almost too dark for me.

Right now I'm in the mood for a favorite brown and red holiday treat --
chocolate covered cherries.

Now everywhere I go, I'll be looking for that gold-scarlet-green combo.
