Default American Star Embroidery Floss

I have a pattern from a magazine dated 1974 that uses American Star
Embroidery Floss Art. 50 and need a color chart. Any suggestions? I did a
google search, but the conversion charts are for DMC, Anchor, JP Coats, etc.

I did a quick search at google and no luck finding your floss.

Does the pattern contain a block of "color" that you could match to DMC
or Anchor? (JP Coats is the lesser quality of the Anchor company).

Or maybe something akin to American Star No. 72 coral pink? That way,
you could find out what DMC or Anchor is called "coral pink", or
something similar, and pick out from these brands?

Otherwise, you'll probably have to just wing it yourself. If that
scares you, perhaps if you describe the pattern, some here could help
you choose.

Hey,
I just checked my great grandmother's "thread tin". I have 4 colors "star"
floss: #1100-red, #902-green, #1035-blue and 1024-pink. If any of these are
the one you need, I would be more than happy to send a sample of it. I
would do a comparison of chart thread, but that's my bday present.
