Her news yesterday was distressing and depressing. Keep holding her close.

Oh Jeanne, I'm so sorry. No one wants to get 'that' diagnosis. As
someone who has been on a similar road all I can offier is to take it
one day at a time....it's so easy to 'over-think' and end up in a big
funk. (Ask me how I know....) Focus on YOU and don't hesitate to
ask questions (not that you would) about all of the options and
choices....do you have anyone to discuss these with? If not maybe
make a list of pros and cons of each method..... knowledge is power
even in illness....

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

After you explore ALL of your options.........get a 2nd, even a 3rd opinion.
Firefly did after the lumpectomy.
It was worth it for her as she went with the Dr that she was most
comfortable with. Hopefully, yours will be a LONG TERM relationship like
hers was.

Gentle hugs

Bums. Hugs, tea, sticky buns 0 whatever you find comforting and healing
on the way.

Do you have Macmillan Nurse equivalents? If so, ask them rather than
the consultants. They often know more about what's available, how to
get it, and the before and after care.

I know these nurses are a UK thing, but this might help you find
something similar where you are.

Thinking of you and adding my cyberhugs with healing thoughts. As
Butterfly-Wings said, second opinion may give you for additional
information. Ask as many questions as you need to feel comfortable and
fully informed; take notes or a tape recorder with you if you feel
overwhelmed with information, and give yourself a couple of days to digest
it all.
