Looks like ozwald was desperate for it.
Shirley

yeah - well check Ozwald's feedback -
and see that they have supposedly purchased quite a few of these hearts

they aren't THAT much in love with this particular heart -- considering they
supposedly have quite a few.

I still suspect SHILL BIDDING

The colors sure are pretty... I make hearts like that that I give as
gifts and freebies. Maybe I need to auction them off. LOL!

I did a quick scan of Oswald7s buying and selling... they have purchased 26
out of the 70 auctions this person has ever sold during their entire ebay
experience.... which started Nov 2003 -

Additionally - Oswald7 has spent over $$729 in November/ DECEMBER alone on
glass beads from this seller already --

of course - Oswald7 also SOLD a $600 LV handbag, and another two "name" hand
bags for a couple hundred more...

Oswald7 has also bought OTHER boro glassworks --
so - my guess is that Oswald7 owns a shop or a boutique....
or gallery - and is buying and reselling these... because otherwise - they
have an awful lot of hearts to wear.... and I kind of doubt that they are THAT
much in love with the same design over and over..

A gallery owner?-- in a good area, who knows they can move the goods -
THAT I WOULD BELIEVE .....

and an awful lot of "expendable income!!!!

Oh, please.

Maybe they won the lottery? Perhaps they do have a lot of income? Who are
we to judge? Accusing someone in public of shilling is unprofessional, IMO.
Cheryl, don't you have better things to do with your time?

I just get so irritated when the beadmaking community calls out auctions
which get high prices and questions the integrity of the people involved.
They're doing it over on WC, too, and it's getting old.

Be happy for the beadmaker and move on.

Can I be glad when someone buys a bead and pays loads more than I could hope
to afford when the bead is made by someone I really like? Darn right I can.
What does this have to do with anything? Im not sure. :-)

I usually am happy for the beadmaker, but it seems odd that a beadmaker
whose average selling price seems to be in the less than $100 range, and
most often, less than $50 that there are just one or two that soar so high.
the hearts are nice - I have a couple pendants like those that I love to
wear, but I wouldn't pay $400 for it.

ABSOLUTELY

I think if the seller is really getting that for those hearts-- that's one
lucky lampworker ... and more power to them!

At least the bidder has some taste in lampwork. Looking at some of the
other junk won by him/her, I'd almost think this person was obsessed with
Eeyore. A TONGUE RING???? Of EEYORE??? Are you NUTS????

Lori Robbins does similar excellent hearts that she starts at $20.
Or $38 for first dibs on her web site.

Maybe the high bids are a sort of a way to send money to Israel?
