Default Way OT, but important

Hi everyone.
Anna Belle here from hot & steamy Florida. (Hi Barbara).
I received the following letter from a former co-worker and I think it
is so important that I am asking for your help. Pretty please.

Dear Friends and Family,

Please vote everyday for the Central Brevard Humane Society so we can
win up to $100,000 for the $100K Rachael Ray Challenge at Vote
orCBHS.com.

The shelter that receives the most votes on the Internet will become
one of the five finalists for the grand prize. We so desperately need
a new Shelter for our animals here in Brevard County. Our current
Shelter is 60 years old and literally falling apart.

As you may or may not know, we are a "NO KILL" shelter and we take
animals from the County and from out of state when we have room. The
larger our facility, the more animals we will be able to save and find
that "FOREVER HOME". We receive no funding from any local or state or
federal agency; every penny we spend to feed the unwanted animals, we
have to raise ourselves and with our economy, it's becoming more and
more difficult.

This money will help us build a much larger facility here in Brevard
County so we can take in more animals.

We desperately need your help. Please take a few minutes each day
starting today until April 16th at midnight to help us attain this
dream. Anyone can vote from anywhere so please take a few minutes
daily and help us attain this dream.

Somehow it can be done on Facebook but I don't know how. Here is the
link that will take you to the Contest. The first time you vote they
will verify your email address with a quick email response. You must
respond to this email the first time to get your email address in
their computers. After that, please just vote daily. Here's the
link:

Your help in this great financial endeavor is greatly appreciated.

Thank you from all the animals at the shelter.

Thanks for your help

Hi Anna, Yes I voted, but for a shelter in Anderson SC, only a few miles
from my home and where I went to college.

And when I am in FL I support the local shelter.

Not OT when all those precious rescues are potential QIs! ;-)

"Anna Belle" Hi everyone.

I received the following letter from a former co-worker and I think it
is so important that I am asking for your help. Pretty please.

I am back in SC! It was a 12 hour drive Saturday to drive through all the
traffic on I-95, going 10 - 20 mph along the Savanna area. GA has 3 and 4
land roads going into SC 2 lane roads, so traffic was backed up long before
we got to the Savanna area. We took an exit and headed W., then right into
SC. Boy was I tired!
Barbara, glad to be home in SC

Bobbie,
We used to make the trip from Cocoa to Sumter SC. Know about the
crowded roads. It only took us 7 hours at that time. Who knows now!
We do make the trip from Palm Bay to Ft. Walton Beach occasionally. It
is also a 12 hour. We are able to make it without traveling for very
long on an interstate. Hate those, much prefer the scenery of local
roads. I guess the long trips are worth the joy at the other end.
Some relatives are worth seeing.

Glad you are home safe Barbara. Traffic is worse everyday. You would think
gas was 3 gallons for a dollar with all the cars out running about!
AB, 'some relatives are worth seeing' made me LOL. Boy, isn't that the
truth!

Taria,
Guess I have an attitude. It stems from an invitation to a family
"gathering". The idea is that the golfers play golf and the rest of
us sit around and wait for the next meal. Held in a very small town
with no shopping AND no quilt shop. 1500 miles away from home and not
going to happen.

my dh reminded me the other day about family functions that just because you
are invited
doesn't mean you are welcome. Family sure has taught me to appreciate
friends!
