Went to the Foot Dr today. I am NOT healing as fast as expected. SIGH! Gotta
carry Dos Boot around for another 3 weeks! AND stay OFF the other foot even
MORE than before.....seems like the right foot is doing MORE than it should
to compensate for the left one. Dr x-rayed it to MAKE SURE it wasn't broken
also....no sign of it nor of a stress fracture WHEW ! Still have to use
the cane to keep me steady. I'm not too pleased right now...no deadheading
of my poor roses........back to sitting on the 'barstool' to do the cooking.
I cook, the guys do 'clean up' : ) Works for us. DH felt bad for me--he
could tell I wasn't happy--so he came out of the grocery store with a new
dark purple orchid for my 'collection' Yeah, it got me to smile : )

Guess who's gonna be doing a LOT of EQ 4 studying now.....well! it IS on
topic after all : )

Butterfly ( I DID do the annual Christmas Ornament shopping right after my
appt....sat in the car whilst DH did a bit of grocery shopping....then back
home. Had some NICE help in the store--looked in the Ornament book--told the
gal what I wanted and she got it--even carried my pkg to the car : )

I'm sorry. :-(

But use this enforced respite to PLAY! We don't get very many of these when
we actually feel fine, just can't get around. And I know how hard it is,
cause I've been there too. But I always regretted that I didn't take better
advantage of it. Sit, sew, read, NAP, all those things you've always wished
you had time for.

Cooking??? THEY all should be cooking for you AND cleaning up. And be
thrilled for the opportunity to serve their Queen!

Demand more.

I enjoy cooking--you did notice I did NOT say anything about laundry or
those other things commonly called 'chores', right : )
Think I will take your advice and just 'play'....might even have DH get the
card table out and start on a Quilt Puzzle (Firefly or Ocean Waves or Oregon
Trail)--when it's finished I will have it framed and hung in the Butterfly
Studio. Thanks for giving me the idea.
Sure glad I did whimper ; )

Already on calcium Plus D and Vit B-12 shots. Dr is pretty sure it is
'delayed healing' cause of being on Prednisone for 6 years...
Haven't done anything with magnesium.

So sorry Butterfly. Still, more rest can be fitted into the schedule, I
dare say!
And, actually, the opportunity to study your design programme could be
huge fun - and you wouldn't have to explain your time at the computer to
anyone!! 'cos you'd be obeying doctor's orders and yet 'working' g
Hope the 3 weeks pass quickly for you.
You'll be taking care, so this time I'll say 'have some sitting down
fun'.

Oh, poo! Lousy news, for sure, Ms. Butterfly, but it sounds like you're
trying to make the best of it - and you got a new orchid to boot!
