wrote: Do smaller projects. Bo-o-o-o-rrring!!!!!!! Darla I assume you mean smaller projects are boring. I don't agree. They can be quite complex, even if they take a week or less to finish. If Seanette is pooping out half way through her projects, the gratification of finishing a small project might be more interesting than stuffing another half-finished cross stitch project into a tupperware storage box. Breaking a project down into rotation also helps. I find a week is enough to make me sick of whatever I'm working on, and it takes six weeks or so before I want to work on it again. About the only thing that helps is having a tight deadline and that doesn't always help very much. Any suggestions? Do smaller projects. I ran into that on a Christmas ornament! :-) Yeah, I did a little impulse-purchase orni that just about had me loopy by the time I finished it. Ain't this thing *ever* gonna end???? LOL 'Course, it didn't help that the thing was on 18-count Aida (yeah, me! mark your calenders!! Darla stitched something on Aida!), and so tiny that the only option was to stitch in-hand, but it also gave me something to do while waiting at the clinic for my PT appointment when I hurt my knee. Just joking. My problem is near the finish, and haven't come up with a viable solution yet. I'm anxious to hear others answers as it may help me too. Tara |
