De Haviland Silks
Hi, I read the review reference De Haviland threads.
I thought I would add my experience with you. I have been stitching with these silks for over ten years and have never had a problem with them! So here is a little information on how I use the silks. First treat yourself to a small cube of Thread Heaven sold in most quilt and embroidery shops. Open cube and pull a small amount of the wax type substance and place your thread into the wax to cover the thread. Now pull the thread through the wax gently with ought touching the threads to the plastic holder. You now have thread Ready to use. Only use short strands about a third of the length. Last bit of information when using this thread you should use a laying tool or a Mellor to keep the threads flat when passing through fabric. I feel if you give them a try with the way I use them you will not be disappointed. I do hope this helps you and all the other embroiders that left comments. I have one prizes and competitions using this thread. If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch. Teresa Unthank P.s. Happy sewing |
