Default Shipping?

I have a diamond engagement ring which needs shipping to Thailand from
the UK. It's worth about $3000. Can anyone recommend a way of shipping
this ring securely or at least covered by insurance should it go
missing?

You can try to use Brinks http://www.brinksdjs.com/ ,
but it's pretty expensive. FedEx won't insure your delivery, but
they won't loose it either. Royal Mail have very decent service
between Bangkok and UK ( London). We never lost a parcel!

BTW, make sure that your order is not a fraud. Thailand is not the
country to be placed on your online ordering white list.

You dont say if its been paid for or wether its a present to someone.
If its an order, youll need to get paid for it before you send it, then
ask the buyer to arrange the shipping from their end, with you paying
the cost if thats in the 3000 dollar price.
If its a present to someone then you need to arrange something special.
If it were me id get the email address of the head of security at the
British embassy and arrange with him for it to go in the diplomatic bag.
then get the person in Tailand to collect it in person from him by
producing appropriate proof of title.
Anything else is just too risky.
