Excellant old post war book on the art and craft of laundry work .
Everything you need to know about the traditional care and laundering
of various general as well as more delicate fabrics.Great item for the
collector of textiles etc.
By Mary Cox ex library but nevertheless a good sound copy.

Some chapters:- The laundry store cupboard / Soap,soap substitutes and
detergents / Starches and stiffening agents / removal of stains /
washing and finishing of silks and satins / washing and finishing of
cottons and linens / methods of cleansing lace,organdie,leather
velour,rubber mackintoshes and capes etc.
