Unhappy Emperal Knitmaster 260l

Hi

Can anyone help me? I am a total beginner at the knitting machine game and have just bought the above machine from a car boot sale. It did not unfortunately come with any instructions and After two hours the other night scratching my head to try and set this up (it comes with the ribber as well just to make life more interesting) i have given up and am ready to bow down to the superior knowledge of everyone on here. Can someone either copy me the instructions for this machine if they own one or give me and hints or advice or let me know where i might find and instruction manual for this machine.

Thanx
Astaroth

I have a copy of a pdf manual I downloaded from the Brother website about a
yr ago. I tried to locate it again on their site but can't seem to find it.
I know it was under sewing machines. I can email it to you if you'd send me
your email addy

Brother manuals would be of little use for a new knitter who has not used a
machine before, I feel it would complicate matters even more for you.
Manuals for your machine come up on ebay quite often. I am assuming you are
in the UK, as the 260 was released under that name there (btw it is EmpISAL
Knitmaster - will make it easier for you to search) and also under Studio or
Silver Reed in the US. New manuals should be available from:

http://www.heathercraft.co.uk/ or contact
http://www.guild-mach-knit.org.uk/index.htm

or try Angelika at http://www.yarn-store.com/ if you are in the US.

You may want to try http://www.diynetwork.com/ on their various message
boards. If I remember correctly, there were some postings in there
about the Empisal a couple of months back.
