She has these travel pillows, I guess something you would carry on the
plain or in a car, and would like something decorative with cables. I
was thinking I could knit a long rectangle, say 38 in. for a 18 in.
long pillow (18 x 2, plus a 2 in overlap); fold it over on itself so
the ends meet and overlap in the middle of the back; then seam the
sides. It would be more of a pillow sham than a case, I guess.

A very good idea, Mark! I always bring a pillow on long travels,
but it is very dull; something more decorative would be nicer!
