Default OT Have AOL going to Cable ?

I have AOL and we are going to be set up with a cable connect. When I bring up
the board I have it in my favorites and it doesn't show a web address like my
other favorite sites. I don't remember how I found you guys. I don't want to
loose you guys when we go cable. You guys are to nice a group. Can someone tell
me how I found you or how I can find you again when I am on cable. HELP !!!

Thanks,
She

My cable company gave instructions in their booklet on how to set up the
news server. Once I did that, I went to the search option and put in this
group, when it came up I hit the subscribe button and then I was ready to
go.

Hi Sheila
To read rctq on aol - click on newsgroups - it is under services or community
(on aol9) on the menu line of the browser.
The screen this will take you to will have 4 boxes - with choices like read my
newsgroups, add newsgroups etc.
Click on each of those and make the choices you would like.
Be sure to click on the apply or save buttons on each screen after your choices
are made.
Then go back to the main welcome screen, click on mail - on the drop down menu
click on set up automatic aol. click on the "get unread postings" line and
click the run automatic aol now button.
In your filing cabinet, click on newsgroups and your newsgroup messages should
be there - you should be able to read them online or offline (unless you have
aol 9)
If you need any help - please email me. Are you keeping aol after you get
cable?
I think it would work the same if you are. If you are chucking aol when you
get the cable hookup, you will probably have to learn to use outlook express.
Most folks here are familiar with outlook express and should be able to talk
you through that.
