Default Logo for Vancouver 2010 Olympics.

I am not sure how many people outside Canada are interested, but the
logo for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics should turn into a very nice
counted cross stitch pattern, I strongly suspect. If I have spelled it
correctly, it is called Ilanaaq, which means "Friend" in Inuit.

I just looked it up and found a news article that translated it as "hope,
friendship and an external expression of the hospitality of a nation that
warmly welcomes the people of the world with open arms." It's very elegant
and I think beautiful.

I heard a man on the radio (CBC) saying it more nearly translated as
'buddy', a bit more than just a friend. Whatever, I guess they feel
touched it was suggested and chosen.

Try www.cbc.ca or www.ctv.ca, the two major TV news broadcasters.
Search for Vancouver 2010 winter Olympics. Alternatively google on
"illanaaq", there should not be too many hits. HTH.
