state fair quilts are finished!! have to put stamps on the notification
postcards and iron the outfit I am submitting, and all I have to do is
drop them off on the 12th!!

on the 11th, I hope, I get my first Depo shot, and I am hoping that I'm
not one of those women that have trouble with it...that is also the last
day I will be smoking....need lots of good thoughts and prayers to get
through this

Thanks Mary and Louise. I got an information packet from "NY
Quits"...the state sponsored program to stop smoking. That's what I'm
going to be reading tonight since DH managed to keep the start of
pre-season football hidden from me.....and then I heard the music
intro....needless to say, he's somehwat in the doghouse for not telling
me.....oh well...we'll both deal with it

Larisa sigh not ready to be a football widow yet

You can do it Larisa! It can be difficult to quit smoking, but once you make
up your mind you're going to do it, it somehow takes the "pain" out of the
process - IMHO I have to admit that quitting smoking is one of my proudest
accomplishments! It's been about 17 years now & I've never looked back - I
felt so free when I finally quit!

Sending lots of positive energy your way - you're goal oriented - you'll
succeed!

I agree..... saw a re-run of a football game on TV and told DH it's much too
early for football.

Just put a completed crib size quilt in the washer. I've done 36" square
quilts but this is about 40x60 inches. Lots of mistakes, lots of picking,
and lots of learning. Tomorrow I will get a picture up on webshots.
