Default willow pattern material

I am new to this group, as a matter of fact I have never been on a news
group before. I love quilting and sewing and have just come across a pattern
which uses willow pattern material. Does anyone know where in the world I
can get some?
Thanks
have a safe Christmas and New Year

Hi Jenny! Welcome to this wonderful cyber-guild! Glad you took the jump into
being on a newsgroup...the more I visit this one, the more I need to talk
with these folks--they know so much and are so nice besides!
Anyway--not sure what you mean by "willow pattern" but if it's cloth with
willows printed on it, you might try www.equilter.com I'm not affiliated
with them in any way but I love their search engine and they have a truly
HUGE selection of fabric. Even if you don't find what you're lookin' for,
the lookin' will probably be fun!

Good luck and Merry Christmas!

Hullo Jenny and welcome
Happy Christmas, too, as it is *that* day!
There are quite a few places you can visit online to fine specific
fabric. I am not one of the people who has lists of all these places,
I'm afraid. This might not be a day when many people will visit the
newsgroup; but, if you wait for a few days, someone will come with some
url's for you. Don't feel we are ignoring you - it's just 'that time of
year' !

Welcome Jenny! You'll be addicted to rctq in no time ;-)
By willow, I assume you mean the blue or red willow-pattern plates? If you
can't find anything exactly like that, look for "toile de Jouy", it's
probably pretty close and comes in blue, red, green and other colors on
white or cream background.

Way to go, Roberta. I wouldn't have associated willow pattern with toile
this morning. My brain must need dusting from the tinsel, chopped pecans and
other holiday stuff. Polly

Greetings and Merry Christmas, Jenny!

I recently purchased a half yard of a dark fabric with willow trees on it
from my lqs. What pattern have you found which uses a willow and will folk
willow trees work?

Do you mean the blue willow patterned fabric? I do have bits of it, so I
know it is out there. I bought mine at a local quilt store.
