Actually, there is (supposedly) a breed of sheep called cashmere. I can't
find it on the web, but I have seen fleeces and wool labeled as sheep's
cashmere.

According to the FTC, cashmere comes from only one source:

So far as I can tell, the only people using the term "sheep cashmere"
are merchants in China. They are referring to a fiber made from the
hairs of the belly of certain sheep and claiming that it is as good as,
but cheaper than the fibers from the belly of Kashmir goats. But the
very fact that it must be called sheep cashmere should tell you that
it's not cashmere.

I am pretty sure I saw some fleeces locally, but it was last year at a state
fair venue.

But it completely true that only goats give cashmere.
