Actually, there is (supposedly) a breed of sheep called cashmere. I can't
find it on the web, but I have seen fleeces and wool labeled as sheep's
cashmere.

According to the FTC, cashmere comes from only one source:

are merchants in China. They are referring to a fiber made from the
hairs of the belly of certain sheep and claiming that it is as good as,

I am pretty sure I saw some fleeces locally, but it was last year at a state
fair venue.

But it completely true that only goats give cashmere.

Land's End has some pretty nice cashmere things, too!
