Default Beaded Curtains - Google Failing Me

I can picture exactly what I want. I've seen photos of similar
curtains in magazines I no longer have.

I am looking for clear glass bead curtains. Bead shape is less
important than the spacing. The strands of beads are close enough
together that the curtains themselves look almost solid. I have an
indigo dining room with pewter-ish faux pressed tin ceilings and
"linen white" trim, and a clear glass bead curtain would be phenomenal
in the windows.

Most of the beaded curtains I've found on Google is acrylic or
plastic, and/or have bead strands at least an inch apart. I'm looking
for something much more substantial.

I found an old thread in this group from 2002, sounds like this guy
was looking for essentially the same thing and failed to find it...

http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e...e7f21d7d&seekm

I'm hoping things have changed in the last 2 years Any suggestions?

TIA!

Hi Jennifer
I figured that since I'm the Google Queen in my house, (I google something on
average of 4-6 per hour, lol) I might be able to find you something.

And yep, sure enough, I found this:

http://www.shimmerscreen.com/shimmerchain/

It looks like what you described...clear glass, nearly solid appearance.
Perhaps you could contact this company? Good luck!

This just might be the website you want:

Hope it is helpful.

Thanks, Harry.

Crystal Diamond Cut Iridescent Beaded Curtains
(http://store.yahoo.com/wickedcoolstu...sdiamcuti.html) were a
definite possibility... until I realized they were plastic.

Heh, I'm going to have to either get less picky or learn how to make
them myself

Problem is, that would make the curtain a whole lot more HEAVY, too.....

Speaking of beaded curtains....does anyone have a resource for bamboo beads? They
are thin like matchsticks, the ones I'm thinking of. I've been through the Links
list and Google, and have come up empty handed. I'd like to find these for beaded
curtains and jewelry. Any help would be appreciated greatly!
