Default Help ID a bead!

I have a single bead that I got in a swap years ago. It's pastels, that look
like sandstone. It's highly polished, and might be some composition of
something, and I'd LOVE to find some more!!! It almost looks like very fine
sugar, in pastels, layered, like a parfait!!

Any ideas??

It's a round bead, about 1/2" in diameter...

It could be fancy jasper... or agate... it comes in all sorts of colors and
shades, sometimes it looks speckled, sometimes banded, sometimes swirled
together. Here are some pics of kits I did in the past using those
materials:

it definitely doesn't look like a naturally occuring thing. it's candy colors,
and VERY even, straight levels of striation....

I'm gonna get a picture taken this weekend...it's driving me to drink!
