Default 100 Mile Yard Sale OTish

This weekend is the 100 Mile Yard sale in Southeastern MO. I've always wanted
to go to a mega yard sale like this, and now I get to! It's actually more than
a hundred miles worth because there are sales on side streets and in close-by
storage facilities. I am shaking with all the possibilites of great beading
finds!

I actually had a dream last night, in which some of the pics from the B&B Show
melded with my idea of a "classic" looking yard sale---and in my dream, I
picked up a gross of different colored 8mm Austrian Faceted Crystals for 3
bucks. HA! Dream on, Candace!

It started yesteray, and goes on thru Memorial Day. Oh Man I can't wait!

Well, okay, it's actually 97 miles between the two ends, but 100 miles is
catchier

I'm starting to worry a bit tho--our weather forecast isn't looking too great,
and if we get T-Storms, I can't go (not taking two small kids out into that)
If it just rains--bundle em up, wrap em in saran wrap, and out we go, hehehehe

I haven't heard of your 100 mile sale, Candace, but I have heard of the one
along Highway 127 that starts in Kentucky, goes through Tennessee and ends
in Alabama - 450 miles worth!! This year is the 17th year for the sale and
I wish I could talk my long-haul trucker husband into going. Wouldn't it be
fun to have a 53' trailer to fill up with stuff??? LOL!! Here's a website
about the event: http://www.jamestowntn.org/worlds.htm

Have fun at yours - may the T-storms stay far, far away!

I'd heard of this one too, and maybe someday, I'll make it over there, too!
450 miles of yard sale bliss....yes!

The one here is a baby, comparatively, only 6 years old, this year. Lucky for
us, it's close by--DH works in the next to last town on the route

Good grief! The last time we were in Kissimmee, I spotted a sign for a
yard sale, but when we went past there, they had nothing but junk. One
time my Aunt went to a yard sale and she found these great beads that
need to be restrung. She gave them to me and I'm still working on
figuring out how I want to rework them. Basically I have an idea in
mind, just need to get more daisies that I'm going to substitute for
bead caps, and I think I'm going to use the copper lined 4mm beads I got
from the Ebay sale this past weekend between the beads...not sure yet,
though.

OH MAN!! I read about it every year with great, drooling glee. With a bucket
at my feet.

I AM SOOOOOO ENVIOUS!! SO ENVIOUS!!

Stuff like that happens. You may find someone's grandma's dirt-encrusted
crystals in a big box with all sorts of useless other stuff, for one price.
Wow! Go Candace! Go Candace! Go Candace!

It's famous! And I think it's longer than that, actually.

Oh ---that's the one I'm thinking of.

I hadn't heard of the one Candace is going to, then -- but hey! What if the
rest of the USA started doing them? And what if someday they all MET SOMEWHERE
in the MIDDLE.....so it turned into this huge network of garage sales that
spanned the country?
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
