Default Purchasing iridescent sequins

I have been scouring the Internet for days for a source for a small
quantity of iridescent flat (or cup) 6mm sequins,

I live in New Zealand and can only find pearl lustre sequins here - no
clear iridescent ones. And they are expensive here!

One supplier in the USA only supplies internationally with orders over
$25 plus postage - and International postage is SO expensive!

Does anyone out there have another source I could try please? I would
be very happy to make some sort of private arrangement if necessary.

Also, I have (for the next week or so) a friend in the USA who would
receive the goods for me and bring them back next month. I would
need to communicate with someone on this newsgroup privately and with
complete trust. I am not sure if this is usual.

Thanks for any advice/caution/etc?

Cheers

I can't help with the sequins, Daisy, but I wanted to let you know that
I've done things like this quite a few times with people on this group
and have never been disappointed! I hope someone is able to help.

As Joan said -- this is perfectly acceptable. So -- firstly, how long
will your friend be here in the states? I'm not going out shopping
until Friday so won't be able to look for the sequins. If no one has
helped you out, I will be happy to look when I am shopping. Then
again, I might have some of the clear iridiscent sequins in my stash.
Now, if I only knew WHERE in my stash they might be -- LOL! Add to
that the fact that I haven't a clue how big 6mm is -- VBS -- I guess I
could look on my tape measure -- LOL! One side is metric and the other
is inches!!! So, let us know where your friend is and how longsaid
friend will be stateside. Also, how many of the sequins will you
need??? CiaoMeow ^;;^

I have a Hobby Lobby trip planned for later in the week and I can look
for them for you. If I find them, I'll drop you an email off-list to
discuss further.

Look that would be so kind. I don't know the US equivalent of 6mm -
but sellers there would know. It looks roughly just over a quarter of
an inch. I can buy the holographic and pearl lustre sequins here, but
it is the iridescent cup or flat ones in pastel colours I would like.
My newsgroup email above ) is not my own
private one of course, but we could communicate via that initially. I
would be very happy to send cash to you if you find what I need - I
have done this before to a friend in Chicago and everything was OK.

I don't know if my friend will be in the US long enough for all this
to play itself out! If not, you could price airmail postage to New
Zealand and let me know the total cost and I'm happy to send cash.

A mailorder company in the US (Cartwrights Sequins) has these sequins
for $1 per 750 bag in various colours. Their website page shows them
very clearly. Unfortunately this company has to charge a large
premium for international credit card purchases ($25 minimum) and what
would I do with 25 bags of sequins I wonder. Anyway, have a look at
http://www.ccartwright.com/irid6f.html#6mm%20flat
and you can see the type of sequins I would like. I hope this is
helpful.

And thank you again for the offer. I am truly grateful.
Cheers

Well, I found 2 packages (3000 pieces each) 5 mm cup iridescent sequins
in my stash I'd gladly send you if you can use the 5 mm size. I do not
have any 6 mm.
