It sounds like the head from a Sweet Tart pop. :-)

kinda looks like that too, only the material is really grainy, under the finish
or whatever is the surface...

I'll get a picture taken soon...ROFL

You know that sounds like a bead that FMG carries made out of acrylic... it
looks like a "sandwich" of different colors. I can't remember what FMG calls
them though...

it definitely doesn't look like a naturally occuring thing. it's candy

colors,
and VERY even, straight levels of striation....
