You could resond, via email, like I do and ask them not to. This is
my stock reply to spammers and people who are just misguided,
misinformed or uninformed about selling on this newsgroup:

"Your post is in violation of this group's charter. Commercial
posts are not allowed on this newsgroup. The FAQ containing this
information is posted monthly and should be read before posting ads
to any newsgroup. Kindly keep your posts to the "for sale" and
"marketplace" newsgroups."

Occasionally you'll get someone who was never told "no" as a child,
and will kick and scream in a nasty email or even post notes to the
newsgroup, ( which happened just recently) or some lout who just keeps
posting crap, but usually a note to their ISP will take care of them,
as well.

BTW, it's also a good idea to check the header and be sure of where
you're sending a reply to. For instance, the msg you posted in
response went to a number of "marketplace" newsgroups, where it
wouldn't be "spam" at all.
