Default Practical Staining & Polishing 1925 FA

Practical Polishing & Staining by A W Parkhouse 1925 VGC 131 pages
large format.
Really superb manual, this book is light on illustrations,in fact there
aren't any,but it more than makes up for that in the quality of the
text, really really detailed polishing and staining techniques. We've
sold a lot of books on the subject over the years, but I would guess
this to be a little different,it is a professional manual aimed at the
polisher/stainer/cabinet maker that does this for a living.

Some headings:- Preparation of wood / Preliminary stages of polishing
proper : Forming and handling the rubber /Prelim stages Skinning in &
fadding up / The finishing stage / Dull or eggshell finish /Fuming &
waxing /Polish faults /The staining of whicker goods /Components of
various polishes & stains and purity tests etc etc.
