Shirley's HUG update
Well, the blocks are coming in and both Shirley and her daughter Linda are
thrilled! Linda can't wait to come see her mom now to see what arrived in the mail! You all are great. It has truly cheered both of them. Please keep the blocks coming. I saw a few and they are gorgeous! Hey Polly, they loved your swamp greeting, and Julia in MN, Linda lives on Lake Washington and was wondering what your family names are. I know you told me once but I don't remember! It is truly a small world. For those who missed it, Shirley is dying of Leukemia and I asked that the blocks be sent directly to her so she had something to look forward to everyday and it's working. PLEASE KEEP'EM COMING! Grateful, Dreamweaver |

Thanks Irene. Linda is a quilter and is having a blast with the blocks and
the notes and I can see the joy Shirley is gaining from Linda's enjoyment as well. Whoohoo! Dreamweaver "IMS" wrote in message ... Thanks for the update, Dreamweaver. Hooo-eee. Scared me for a minute. At first, I thought she was asking about
my family's names - and some of them are still at-large and we just don't talk about it. We have the right to remain silent. Polly "Dreamweaver" wrote in message ... Thanks Irene. She doesn't post or read but she's one of our own. She helped put together
our beloved, bedazzling, bewitching Butterfly's HUG. Ask our beloved, be-feared, Red Queen, Judy Grevenites about this sweet lady. We were quite a team that weekend! Here's a picture (Butterfly's HUG) and what part she played. http://community.webshots.com/user/dreamweaver138 She is a precious lady and is dying. She was diagnosed with Leukemia and is in Hospice at the local nursing home. When I was collecting B's blocks for her HUG, Shirley couldn't wait for me to get my mail so she could fondle and enjoy each and every block. It brought her great joy! Let's do that for her again! Send a 6 1/2 inch unfinished block directly to Shirley. She can have the joy of getting the mail each day! When they are all collected I'll put the quilt top together. She loves purple! You know the drill, sign your name and location to the block. Please also include on a piece of paper the following message: THIS/THESE BLOCK(S) ARE SENT WITH LOVE, PRAYER AND BLESSINGS FROM JERI JO'S INTERNATIONAL INTERNET QUILTING FRIENDS ON RCTQ. YOU'RE BEING HUGGED!!!!! (Your name, location, and email address). Feel free to include information about yourself and where you live as well. She loves getting letters. She has Macular Degeneration so her eye sight is almost gone but she still enjoys the mail and the feel of fabric. She was an avid crocheter before neuropathy in her hands took over. She also played the accordion. She has a little ****zu named Dolly and the name fits her perfectly, she is (or should I say "was") a real doll. Dolly has moved in with Shirley's daughter Linda who also has a ****zu named Lacy. Lacy has proceeded to teach Dolly all her bad habits and Linda says she now has two naughty kids . Dolly visits Shirley every Sunday. I know there have been many HUG requests lately but please try to contribute to this one. She will be deeply blessed and cheered, as will I. Gratefully, Dreamweaver - could someone make sure the Magpies and Baseball Swap List get this as well. Thanks! Ms. Shirley Minor c/o Burns Manor Nursing Home 135 North High Drive NE Hutchinson MN 55350 Deadline: June 1st (fingers crossed she gets to see them all and enjoy the finished quilt as well). I started on the block today about 1 Pm and had it finished by 3, I was
hoping if I put it up at the postoffice in the mail box that sits outside, It would be picked up today.. but the mail isn't going out until Monday at 9:15 AM. I left it up in the box outside of the postoffice.. and it is finished and I am sorry for the delay.. "Dreamweaver" wrote in message ...
