A lovely sock pattern Annie! I have been collecting sock patterns and one of
these days I will be brave enough to make a pair or two.

One question though. I noticed the gauge varies with the foot size. Is that
usual with socks?

Hi Dora,

If you are referring to the Pink ribbons sock pattern, it is pretty
confusing. Most patterns I've come across specify one gauge and vary the
finished size by changing the number of stitches cast on, and the number of
rows worked.

Yes, that's the one. I should have quoted. I don't think gauge is actually
given. There is a note on the pattern that those numbers refer to foot size. Oh
well, when doing that pattern one must merrily knit along, hope for the best,
expect the worst, I guess.
