If you need another idea for using up scrappy strips or jelly rolls,

Default quick stripped quilt pattern

A friend makes charity quilts using a similar concept but she only
strips the larger triangle creating a windmill pattern. It does not
look as busy as the Hoffman pattern. Her alternate blocks are the same
tone on tone as the non-pieced section of the HST. She then does a
piano key border. The only fabric she buys is the tone on tone.

greens. Looks very fun.
