We finally got the patent corp tied down, for the engine. The next step is
to put together the "warchest" of at least half a million to fight patent infringement in court. And buy machine parts. Tina "Cheryl" wrote in message ... And even if you do have something first, if they have enough money all they have to do is keep suing you until you're bankrupt. TINA - this is sooooooo true. Deep pockets win... Part of the reason we have the patent corp, is that none of us first
investors can come up with the really big bucks for the legal expenses, marketting, production. They'll be getting 90% of the profits, which will leave us with double the ususal amount. (Walter will have a portionof the bigger corp too, which I think is appropriate.) Thanks for the prayers, too. As far as I know, art has a bit of leeway when it comes to portraying
the likeness of products. I am not aware of the laws governing this, though, or whether you could even argue that beads that are shaped like candy qualifies as "art". alex wrote: Yeah, I understand was just trying to get a clearer picture oh and yes what we did was wrong, not in making the beads but in referencing chocolate candy with beads looking like M&M's The next time we are in a similar situation we will never mention there is a likeness and the name will not even hint trademark violation Ok I said it - I'm a copyright violator |
