Thanks Noreen for you concerns.

The fires are on the Main land...I live on Vancouver Island. We have had
small fires, close to Victoria, but these are all onder controle.

These fires are North of Kamloops, in the middle of the mountains. It is
so sad that thise happens every year. Tragic, that some persons have
these half-assed ways of throwing a burning cigarette butt out of a
moving cars. That they do not understand that it can create this much
havoc. Some of the fires were caused by lightening, but most of them are
men made....carelessly using fire. Lets hope that they will get a handle
on all of the fires.

In Quebec we had floods...nature is certainly rambunctious lately. Europe
is having fires and very hot weather as well. Lets hope this will all be
soon behind us

Ahh, Els... is the smoke traveling though? The world seems to be
suffering so many EXTREMES, and not all that far from one another,
fires here, floods there, drought there, if only it could even out
somehow.
