Rutile
Can anybody tell me if there is a chemical difference between dark and
light rutile? Also does anybody have experience in using either in their glazes? Thanks a million Uncle John |

Hi Uncle,
Dont know about the chemical differences, but in stoneware reduction you get an "electric blue" chun effect. email me if you want the recipe and I'll look it up for you. I made some sets ups a few years ago and did some tri-axial blends and the results were stunning. Regards Kevin. "Uncle John" wrote in message ... Thanks a million Uncle John Go to http://www.matrix2000.co.nz/MaterialsWeb/default.htm and look in the D's for dark rutile and the L's for light. The primary difference is in the iron content 1.5% vs 0.5%. deg |
