Turk's Heads and Monkey's Fists

1. Does anyone know what is the largest Turk's Head that can be tied
as a spherical covering? ---Is ABOK correct? I think he said a 5-bight
by 3-lead or a 4-bight 3-lead?
If you know of a larger one, could you link me up to a diagram?

2. Does anyone know of any other monkey's fists apart from those in
ABOK that could be used as a spherical covering?
If you do, could you link me up with a diagram?

3. How in the world did Ashley figure out all those turk's heads and
monkey's fists, most especially the big ones? I mean, how could I
create new ones myself of different sizes?
