Default rubbery like silk screening/transfers

Hi-Can someone tell me how the t-shirts with that thick rubbery feel of the
design is made? They seem to hold up to washing better than any other kind
and are somewhat 3-dimensional. Just curious if it's something a hobbyist
can do.

TIA
Leslie

Hi, Leslie!

I've used those kinds of transfers on some Christmas shirts. I've also
downloaded and printed my designs on special t-shirt transfer printer paper
(you can find it at Michael's and Wal-Mart). After printing your design on
the paper, you just iron it onto the shirt, etc. They seem to hold up
pretty well.

Hope I've been somewhat helpful.

Thanks Karen! Are you talking about the kind that are smooth, or are they
the thick kind, that almost feel like rubber was painted on? I'm assuming
the kind I want isn't really a transfer at all, but a silk screen technique
of sorts.
