Sorry I used the term sew instead of laced. Anyways the way my Great
G-ma would do it there was no lacing or sewing.

I do know how to make braided rugs. But, am looking for one that is not
laced up but is braided together as you go along. No cord involved
only the fabric.

I have been playing with some different ways to accomplish this, but
was hoping to find somebody who might have old directions, preferably
ones which have been handed down.
