Default carving nested spheres

There's a book called "Wonders in Wood" by Edwin M. Wyatt that talks
about carving nexted spheres. It doesn't get into too much detail,
basically turn a sphere, do some drilling to get started, then finish
the sphere inside with sharp stuff :-)

This book is small, cheap $9 at Barnse and Noble, (I just bought my
copy last week), and has a bunch of other neat wooden puzzles and
stuff.

Looking for tips to carve nested spheres in wood, probably no more than two
or three spheres. Any ideas or leads?

TIA, Van
