Default Pearls . A rose by any other name

I believe the translation of "thick" as used by ted in this case is #5 in
your Merriam-Webster Online. ( Obtuse, Stupid ). HeH!

Ted Frater.

Hi Ted, I hate to break this to you but not everyone whose name begins

with
R is the same person. Are you 'Tess' at weekends?
I was just exercising my divine right to express an opinion. I didn't
realise I was treading on hallowed ground . Most of the time I am too

busy
making jewellery to involve myself in playground tantrums.

Besides, there are a lot of thick people about.

Hmmmm. I didn't realise this group was moderated by MENSA.........
Ruth

Ted, Ruth, Abrasha, and others...

No, the group isn't moderated by MENSA, just little 'ol me.

Please remember that part of the charter I'm supposed to follow in

moderation
the group is the bit about not allowing personal attacks.

You guys can get a bit testy if you want, and bicker gently now and then,

and
I'll allow it.

But try not to get actually nasty, OK? That, I would have to stop, and I

don't
like doing that.

And Ted, for the record, while there may be some thick people around, due

to the
overabundance of high calorie snack foods creating an epidemic of obesity

in the
U.S., (heck, I'm a few pounds over what I'd like to be, myself), I would
suggest that lower intellegence or stupid behavior isn't related to

"thickness".
Or to much else. Some of the stupidest things I've seen people do, or say

in
this group, have been from those of you whom I am quite sure are

reasonably
intellegent or even above average. And a certain lack of tolerance

exhibited
by some readers for those who may be beginners in jewelery or to the net,

seems
especially common among those who've most likely got the brains to know
better...

In short, try to relax a bit folks. Moderating the group is my job. If

you
want it, talk to me first before jumping in. I'd be happy to let you do

it, but
then you get to do the whole job, not just the back seat driving.

Peter
