at least in ottoman turkish it is fag~fur (not farfur).
in modern turkish it is confined to fine porcelain and
not the commercial variety.

perso-arabic is fa*gh*fu:r (modern usage is similar to
modern turkish).

What Chinese province was known to Persians as Fagfur?
Was it famous for its porcelain?
