It's kind of a twisted knit cast on, might make a little firmer edge

Sue the film shows indeed what i do , with one difference , once i
slide the left needle into the new stitich iDO NOT take out the right
needle since it is already in a `position` to knit the next stitch ,,
saves loads of time and yiu knit=caston in a whippi

Thanks for posting the link. If you compare it to the link I posted,
which is this one

and scroll down to Knitting-On it's the same cast on, and it's the one
I used.
It works great for casting on the stitches when doing the thumb.

After I did, I realize it is just the standard knit cast on. It's no
different than the one shown at knitting help.
