Default The one book you would have in your knitting bag?

The newest one; the one that I have not yet read.

I just spent the last two weeks traveling with Macgregor's book on Fair Isle
Knitting, and it was time well spent, with a ball of DK red in one pocket ,
a ball of blue in another pocket and a set of 8" # 1 bamboo DPN in between.
But, that was then, and I will need another book for the next trip.

Good knitting books? I was talking to a book dealer about them. Cookbooks
come on the market, knitting books do not. Find an old knitter that has the
books that you want and do some thing really nice for her, and maybe, just
maybe she will give them to you! It is the only way to get the good old
books.

One! Just One! How cruel.

Probably a stitch dictionary then. Mary Thomas's Book of Knitting
Patterns lives on my bedside table most of the time.
