Follow up to own post:

a little more about the patterns: there are 12 bears in all, the bears are
sitting on gingham-looking rugs, some have blankets over them, a couple
have butterflies.
I have contacted the designer who says that it's an out-of-print design, and
can't recall which magazine and/or company the bears were designed for...
Any help is appreciated.
