Thanks for the input.
I won't be back there until December, but when I do I'll try to sit down
with her and try it out. Hopefully she will be able to do it, but if not,
we'll sell it and find something else.

Hi there,
I'm trying to find someone to help my mother with her Bond Ultimate
Sweater
Machine. She was an avid knitter in the past, until she had a stroke in
Spring 2002. She never fully recovered, so she has some paralysis on
her
right side (she's right handed).
I called Bond and asked if they thought she would be able to use it with
her
limited use of one hand. They thought she would be able to. Since then
she
has gotten set up and tried to use it, but is having trouble getting it
going. Apparently she gets a couple of rows going, and then it falls
apart.
I don't live there, but I wonder. I use the USM and I find I have to use
both hands to do a decent job. One hand guides the yarn while the other
one
pushes the carriage.
