Default Unable to follow directions!!

inverting triangles happens often to me with PP - think about it this
way - it is an original design now!

OK, when I was a kid, the teachers used to say, "you can't follow directions!!
What is going to become of you??? We will have to put this in your PERMANENT
RECORD!!"
So, fast forward many years, I STILL can't follow directions!!
I took my other sister shopping with me yesturday, had her pick a pattern, she
found a magazine called Quilt Works Today, she picked "Rocky Road to Kansas",
not a hard block, pretty quilt, so I bought the magazine, I bought fabric and
figured I'd use some of my stash. Last night I oh, so carefully cut out all
the blocks, even followed the paper piecing directions (SO I THOUGHT!!) I made
the points upside down!! The solid material is supposed to be the shorter
triangle, the stripes the longer part of the paper pieces, so that the solids
all come together in the middle. So, my centers are all different colors, and
the points are solid. Oh well, I guess this IS a rocky road to Kansas. Since
I cut out 120 paper pieces, and cut a bunch of material into strips, I'm just
going to keep going with this and see what happens. :-) Not sure if this post
makes any sense, later I'll post a picture of a couple of the blocks, I think
I'll stop for now and go to my brothers for a barbeque. Happy 4th weekend
everyone!
