Wow, it has been so very long since I have even lurked. Well, since someone
seems to think that I have "passed on", I figured I'd better set the record
straight! I just got so busy after buying the second cabin. Lots of work,
gardening included. Now things have slowed down, wouldn't ya just know?

It is sure good to see a posting from Sarah and I'm relieved that she is
still kicking, even if slower than usual. This gal can really
"YeeeeeHawwww!! I've heard it myself.

When I tried to find you all, I couldn't connect to the ng. After going to
the "Help" area of ATT Worldnet, I figured it out. I'm so dang proud of
myself!

Even though I haven't been posting or lurking, I have started quilting
again. I did a king size String quilt, using a different design than usual.
I like this one. So does the dog, when she joins dad on the bed :-) I also
did a lap quilt alternating nine patches and snowball blocks that finished
to 3". No pastels in this one, folks. I like this one too much to give away
yet. I also did a baby quilt with leftovers from another project. No baby in
mind, but maybe a wall hanging? I did a large lap size with lemons, lots of
lemons, along with a few strawberries and daisies, in yellows (of course)
and deep blues. I also did a twin size in pastels....I know I'm probably the
one who likes pastels....in a Log Cabin pattern and machine quilted it. I
quilted all but the King size. I'm not crazy! I'm currently working on one,
using a pattern from the 'net. It is called Faux Log Cabin and uses large
pieces. I think I would like this pattern better if the pieces were scaled
down, but it did go quickly. I need to add two borders and then send it out
for quilting because it will be a queen size. I guess I will put this in one
of the cabins, since it isn't my favorite. Now DH's aunt wants me to make
her a wall hanging size for some new quilt hanger she was given. So I will
drive to Reno (9 hour drive each way, folks) to see what she wants. I know
she wants blues, but I get to pick the pattern. She also wants to learn how
to bind a quilt while I am there.

I haven't made any long Road Warrior fabric buying trips in a long time. I'm
still working with the fabrics I bought on the other trips. I sure have
enjoyed Sandi's (in Canada) info on her latest trip. She is the true Road
Warrior and I pass my title on to her.

Weather in Palm Springs is hot....unless you like 112, but who does? Big
Bear is delightful at 80F with chilly nights. I just spent 8 nights, which
was wonderful.

I don't move as fast as I used to....getting too dang old! But I keep
plugging, even though parts don't work too well.

Hugs to all of you....folks I remember and new ones I'll discover.

And I'm back, too, folks (and really can't say how long this flurry will
last, as you've seen in the last year or so).
