Default Question about the International Amber Association?

On this website that sells Amber jewelry.. it says they are "certified"
Members of the International Amber Association. does this mean that
they, by LAW, have to sell only genuine amber and prove its real from
where they get it from? or can they easily get through by selling fakes
and not get into trouble. does this mean they are overlooked to make
sure they're selling real stuff?

how does this kind of thing work anyway? are these really legit and do
they really mean anything, or just some simple association to be apart
of, and nothing that impressive?

heres more information from their site:

"Andzia receives her Certificate of Recommendation from the
International Amber Association from Association President, Mariuscz
Gliwinscy at Amberif 2002."
