Ho Ho Ho! I guess I was a very good girl this year.

I am now the proud owner of a Viking Mega Quilter.

What a beautiful machine this is. The harp is 9 x 6 and there is a large
extension bed. It does up to 1600 spm, although I have found it is way
too fast for my stippling it is easy to control at any speed. The
threading was not too complicated and I haven't had to fiddle too much
with the tension yet. I really, really like the built in thread cutters.
In no time at all I had it installed in my main sewing space to help
tackle some serious quilting I have been putting off. Gee, I feel like a
pro now!

The only thing I find myself somewhat longing for is a zig zag capability,
but I have another machine I can use for all that. Just something to bear
in mind, some light industrial mid arms do have both stitches so it really
depends on what kind of sewing you are going to do.

It seems like quite a sturdy workhorse and at a relatively good price, so
well worth looking at. There is also a frame with a laser, about the same
price as the machine, and also a stitch regulator to use with this. (Not
the machine only, I think, just with the frame). I have no where to put a
frame and don't really need one yet, but stay tuned

Love to hear if anyone else has tried this machine out yet.
