See -- that's the problem -- I already bought some REALLY neat sort of
variegated eyelash type yarn in the perfect colors. Problem is, it has been
soooooo long since I knitted that I just couldn't manage to work with the
eyelash yarns!!! I am not having much trouble crocheting with it but the
mirror warmer has to be knitted cuz' I don't know how to *make* the durned
thing any other way!!!!!! How the devil do you knit with this eyelash stuff?
I tried with the smallest knitting needles and the biggest knitting needles
and
just couldn't manage to get anything accomplished :-(!
I am going to check the awesome knitting & needlepoint shop in Lizard Land
and see what they have there. I'll let you all know what I find :-)!

Those eyelash yarns knit like a dream! they just slide along. Try a 10-13
needle.

What she said! Are you using plastic needles - are they sticking? I've done most of
mine on wooden needles that I really like (Brittney's) . If the carrier yarn is
really thin, you could just pair it with a non-eyelash, and knit them together -
that helps sometimes. Gives the eyelash more support. Also, on some Addi Turbo
circulars - pricey metal. And I have a set of really interesting size 15s made from
milk or soy protein - something like that. They look like white plastic, but aren't
- and they feel nice.

I'm surprised you're having trouble - but if you have a really funky thick-thin one
- it could definitely take some getting used to.
