I know we have talked at length about ways to print on your own fabric and

I need to know, of the brands that you can buy the pre-treated sheets of
fabric, ready to be fed thru the printer.... which brand(s) have you all
used and been really happy with. And why were you so happy? Was it the
feel of the fabric? Ease of printing? True colors? Lasting colors?
Washability (is that a word?)?

I have 2 projects where i can use this stuff. I've lost all the info i
gathered at the quilt festival last year One project is for a quilt
and the other is for a T-Shirt. So one will be washed gently, and not often
and the other will get a lot of washings and more "wear" if you will. I
will not likely use fusable stuff for either project. I have an HP 1120C
printer if that makes any difference at all!

Thanks for any input! Even if it is just "stay away from XXXXX brand" it
will help!

Kellie, I've done a little printing on fabric, and here's what I've come
up with *for me*! You may find things a little different for you, of
course.

First, I used the June Tailor sheets for a couple of things. They print
beautifully, but they're stiff. Forget every trying to do any sort of
handwork on them (hand sewing a label, for instance, or hand quilting
through them).

I've also used the Printed Treasures, and they're *far* superior. They
print well, and you can sew through them, even by hand.

My favorite, though, remains Bubble Jet Set. It's not nearly as
convenient, since you do have to pretreat the fabric, but the results
are, IMHO, by far the best. *Really* soft fabric, nice printing.

This all means that I use BJS when I have a larger number of things to
print and it's worth the extra effort. When I only have one little thing
(like a single label), I go ahead and use Printed Treasures for the
convenience. HTH!
