Just a possibility--could you take your old HD to a computer specialist and
see if anything can be recovered? I've been through this crisis, one of the
best reasons I can think of for backing up regularly! But I still don't do
it often enough, maybe three or four times a year.

Just got up and running with a new hard and had to reinstall
everything. As a result, I lost all my favorites. Could someone send
me some quilting links. A few weeks ago, I got one for a site that had
lots of quilt blocks. I used one to make a baby quilt.
