Default seam finish for polar fleece

| Hi everyone,
|
| I have a feeling this is a good question for Tia Mary I'm
| making a pair of polar fleece pyjama bottoms for my son...very cool
| print with Dale Earnhardt's car and signature. Fabric has a black
| background , red car and signature with some white highlights.
| Anyway...I was wondering what type of seam finish I should use, I
| don't have a serger so that's not an option
|
| TIA...Linda

I'm not Tia Mary, but thought I would give my two cents worth.

My favourite finish for fleece is to trim one side of the seam allowance down to about
1/4", then flat-fell the seam and zigzag it to the garment. It keeps everything lying
flat and is very comfortable to wear.
